Three-Pronged Approach for Improving the Quality of Confections
Rice is the basis for Japan’s food culture. KAMEDA SEIKA was born in Niigata, a region of Japan famous for its rice, and has grown to become a leading rice cracker producer. We have made a number of over-lapping technical innovations in the past so that we can deliver consistent product quality and delicious taste to our customers. At every step of the process – from the procurement of raw materials, through the development and production of products, to the sharing of information about customer opinions and requests – we conduct thorough quality control and make every effort to achieve the safe and dependable manufacturing of rice cracker products.
We obtain written assurances that all raw materials used in our products meet the applicable standards. By working closely with our suppliers and factories, we have ensured the traceability of our raw materials including rice, peanuts, and soybeans at every stage of their production, from cultivation to processing. We carry out testing and analysis, both in-house and on a consigned basis.
Development & Production
There are all kinds of testing and inspections during product development, from sensory evaluations, moisture content tests, and fat-and-oil spoilage tests. In addition, we make sure that employees at our production facilities wash their hands and wear the proper work clothes. Through the use of air showers, automatic shutters, and other systems, we have doubled and redoubled our efforts to prevent product contamination. In our production lines, we carry out taste as well as quality inspection by color sorting machines and X-ray inspection devices. Our taste inspectors, who have passed our in-house examinations, taste the products each hour to check them thoroughly.
Customer Service Office
Even after our products are shipped out and sold, we continue our involvement in quality control. We constantly forward feedback to the factories and relevant departments gathered from customers who contact our customer service office with their opinions and requests. We share this information to improve quality and to help us develop more satisfying products.
